Wager

A bet, a gamble.

WAP

Wireless Application Protocol - wireless communication network enabling access to the Mobile Web from a mobile phone or PDA.

Wash

Also called a 'scramble', this is a technique to mix the deck together by placing them all face down in a pile, and then mixing them all together before stacking them into the deck formation again.

Weak

Unlikely or unskilled enough to win.

Weekly Promotions

Player benefits and rewards which the casino updates from week to week to bring in new clientele and maintain existing player satisfaction.

Includes: deposit match bonuses, free tournament entry, competition prizes, etc.

White Token

A chip of usually low monetary value, $1 in most cases.

Wild Number

Spicing up the bingo game, the Wild Number is decided by the first number called, for example, 16 is drawn, all numbers ending in 6 are marked off the bingo cards.

Wild Symbol

A wild symbol can substitute for any other symbol to complete a winning combination and may also serve to multiply your winnings.

A wild symbol on a slot machine is a like a joker symbol in card games.

Wired

Used in stud games, these are multiple cards of the same value dealt consecutively to the same player; ie "I had three wired Queens". In a community card game, this is a pair of pocket cards.

Wrong Bettor

A player betting on the Don't Pass Line in Craps is a Wrong Bettor. Betting against the shooter.

Betting on the Pass Line, alternatively, is called Betting Right.

WSOP

The abbreviation of the World Series of Poker.
