Jackpots are generally associated with slot machines and video poker, but they are not exclusively limited to these games.

For example, certain poker games sometimes include a progressive jackpot while some online casinos offer progressive jackpots on blackjack, roulette and other casino games.

Slots are typically the most common form of games that offer jackpots. These can come in the form of regular jackpots, where players can win a fixed maximum amount, or in progressive jackpot form, where each bet placed by any player causes the total jackpot to rise but where the odds of winning are also much slimmer.

The more well-known slots games are generally the ones that offer the highest progressive jackpots, which is why names like Mega Moolah and Major Millions are such household names in the world of online casinos.
