Online gambling company challenges participants to rescue Real Madrid players in new game.
Bwin, one of Europe's biggest online gambling companies and the sponsor of Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid, has announced a new promotion a couple of weeks out from the next round of Madrid's famous rivalry with Barcelona.
The special promotion, launched at custom-made site SaveTheRealGame.com, requires participants to rescue top Real players Kaka, Rafael Van Der Vaart, Granero and Marcelo.
Participants must achieve this aim by finding numerical codes on sites like Facebook and YouTube, based on clues given by each of the players.
First prize in the competition is a trip to Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu to watch the El Clasico on Sunday April 11. Other prizes include a 10 euros bonus for each player rescued, up to a total of 40 euros.
There is also a video game element to the promotion, with participants challenged to help the players escape by knocking down a wall by using their cursor to fire footballs at a target.
The April 11 match is shaping up as one for the ages, with the two sides neck and neck on 74 points with just nine games left, a staggering 21 points ahead of third-placed Valencia.
Real Madrid hold a slight edge on Barcelona on goal difference, but lost 1-0 their arch rivals when the two teams met in Barcelona last November.
