iPoker Launches New HTML5 Mobile Client

Bet365, Winner Poker are first to offer client to customers

iPoker has begun rolling out its HTML5 application across all skins, with bet365 Poker and Winner Poker the first two operators to offer their customers the new browser-based client.

Onto a Winner

Winner Poker was the first to begin promoting its new client a couple of weeks ago, making it accessible to customers directly through the mpoker.winner.com mobile site. The client works on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices, and can also be accessed through desktop browsers.

Bet365, a rival poker room, has also begun promoting the new client to players who use iPhone or iPad. Bet365's version of the mobile client supports standard cash games and iPoker's fast-fold variant of Speed Poker. Tournaments are not yet supported at bet365, although Winner is planning to introduce this feature.

Slow to Embrace Mobile

The iPoker Network, operated by Playtech, is a multi-room online poker network that is used by some of the largest poker rooms in the business. Aside from bet365 and Winner Casino, it counts William Hill Poker, Paddy Power and Titan Poker among its partner sites.

However, it has been slot to launch a mobile product, with Playtech recently admitting that it has not fully utilized all the opportunities that mobile gaming gives it. Now that it has launched the new HTML5 product, it is reportedly planning to go ahead with native iOS and Android clients soon.
