Microgaming to Gain Exclusive Content from Indie Studio Alchemy Gaming

Wheel of Wishes is a forthcoming slot from new Microgaming partner Alchemy Gaming, which is the 10th indie studio to partner with the software provider.

Microgaming has recently pioneered a strategy of acquiring exclusive content that is not developed internally. Each week seems to bring new releases at Microgaming casino sites, but which are not developed by Microgaming. As of November 2019, Alchemy Gaming will be the very latest studio to contribute as part of the arrangement.

Exclusive Development Strategy

A few years ago, Microgaming began to release video slots and online casino games through internal studios. Rabcat was the first notable example, as developer of the Castle Builder slots, with Just for the Win following on later with Deco Diamonds and other top titles.

Starting in 2018, this philosophy shifted to introduce independent studios that were tasked with the development of games that would be released exclusively at Microgaming casino online. Preceding Alchemy Gaming has been the likes of Triple Edge, Fortune Factory, Slingshot, Stormcraft, Switch, All41, Pulse 8, Neon Valley, and Gameburger.

Alchemy enters the fray as the 10th indie developer to secure a partnership deal with the Isle of Man-based software provider. The studio’s expertise is said to be rooted in mathematics. At the same time, Microgaming CEO John Coleman has hailed the visual and innovative credentials of the new partner.

Development of Wheel of Wishes Slot

Diversity is reported as a priority in forthcoming releases, of which the first slated is going to be the Wheel of Wishes slot. Arrival is currently expected for the first quarter of 2020, with an Arabian theme at the heart of the entire experience. Also included is a progressive jackpot that will represent an upgrade inspired by the existing WowPot slot.

Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network had paid out in excess of €1 billion in winnings since it was launched. Wheel of Wishes will introduce a new generation, with more information expected from Microgaming’s attendance at the SiGMA 2019 iGaming conference in Malta.
