NBA Christmas Match-up: Can Cleveland Beat the Heat?Published December 25, 2014 by Sol FH
Lebron comes back to Miami for the first time since returning to Cleveland to face the Heat tonight live at 22:00 (UK).
For Heat fans, it will be sweet revenge and a chance to boo Lebron James and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers, as they come to Miami tonight at 22:00. The Cavaliers are currently on a three-game winning streak, while the Heat dropped their last game and the overall health of their roster is still an issue.
Heat Plagued by Injuries
The revenge that Miami wants, may be short-lived if their all-stars, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade aren't able to play tonight. Bosh has missed six straight games, but is confident he can play tonight. Wade is still feeling his knee and even if he does play he will not be at 100%.
The Cavs are in second place in the Central Division after the Bulls with a 17-10 record. The Heat's longest winning streak this year was their three wins to start the season, which has left them at 13-16 and third position in the Southeast.
On Defense, the Cavaliers are anywhere but perfect, as their struggles guarding their end has been quite an ordeal all season long. On offense however, Lebron, Love and Irving have been putting on quite a show.
Even with the Heat's home court advantage tonight, they will still need a lot of luck and hard play in order to beat the Cavs. They are just 5-9-1 at home and without Bosh or Wade, their chances tonight seem far from good.
NBA Odds and Betting Markets
The Heat are underdogs coming into their home game tonight and by just how much depends on whether Bosh is ready to go or not. Bet365 Sports has the Heat in the underdog position, but punters may want to look at Point Spread or Over/Under markets, as they are a bit more attractive. The Cavaliers are -5.5 to cover the Spread, while the Heat are +5.5. The Cavs are listed as favorites tonight, and a win should be exactly what they leave with after four quarters.
