Tic Tac Toe has progressed somewhat since you played it as a child as it can now also be played on the internet against the computer. It is also commonly referred to as noughts and crosses and there is no prize for guessing why!
This is only a two person game with player staking turns to place either an X or O in a 3 by 3 grid. The objective of the game (in case you grew up in Mars) is to be the first player to place three of their marks in a row either horizontally, vertically or diagonally. The first person to do so, wins the game.

When you play Tic Tac Toe online you can usually chose your level of experience and the level of either the computer or person you are playing against.
Tic Tac Toe tricks
You can learn a few tricks so that it's almost impossible to lose... provided of course that your opponent doesn't also know the same few tricks! If that is the case, every game will end in a disappointing draw.
The only way to win at Tic Tac Toe is make sure that you are not on a level playing field with your opponent. To tip the balance in your favour, master a few strategies. Move beyond the novice player that makes just a few random moves. An experienced player knows the best moves to open a game with. These are the corners and the center.

Statistically speaking, the player who starts the game, will win about twice as often as the player who goes second.
