Bulgarian Trade Assoc of Manufacturers & Operators in the Gaming Industry
With the Balkans gambling market undergoing some rapid changes in recent years, local businesses are represented by the Bulgarian Trade Association of Manufacturers and Operators in the Gaming Industry (BTAMOGI).
The Bulgarian Trade Association of Manufacturers and Operators in the Gaming Industry (BTAMOGI) was formed in 1992 to represent gaming machine manufacturers, local casinos, and later on, local online gambling site operators. They are the body behind some of the biggest trade events in the region, including the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo, (BEGE), and the Eastern European Gaming Summit (EEGS).
History of the BTAMOGI
Since 1992, the BTAMOGI has operated as a non-profit, and independent organisation, run by volunteers, representing around 40 of the biggest casinos in Bulgaria, plus most of the gaming equipment manufacturing industry in the country, A major focus of the work done by the BTAMOGI is contributing to the approval of new legislation, and they were very much involved in the formulation of Bulgarian gaming laws.
Additionally, they aim to improve the market conditions for their members, while protecting both operators and the public by establishing a recognised framework to use for mutual benefit. The BTAMOGI also help to support problem gambling initiatives, help to bring local standards up to international levels, and continue to organise conferences and industry meetings.
The BEGE is taking place 23-24th November 2016 in Sofia, while the 9th annual EEGS runs in parallel from 22-23rd November 2016.
