Seven-card Stud Poker is one of the classic poker games of yesteryear, which has been developed by many online poker rooms to suit the modern day. The biggest difference between this game and other versions of poker is you have seven cards from which to choose your 5-card hand.
Instructions
Step One
Each player is dealt two face-down cards and one face-up card.
Step Two
The player with the lowest value face-up card puts in a small bet, or a blind. Betting goes clockwise around the table, with each player given the option of calling, raising or folding, just as in other versions of poker.
Step Three
A fourth card is dealt face-up, and betting continues around the table, beginning with the player with the highest cards showing. A fifth and a sixth card are dealt face-up according to the same format.
Step Four
The seventh card is dealt, but this time face-down, so that all remaining players have five face-up cards, and two face-down cards. Once again, a round of betting takes place.
Step Five
Finally, the game ends with all remaining players revealing their seven cards. The player with the best five-card hand combination is the winner, just as in Texas Hold'em, Five-Card Stud, and other versions of poker.
