Relegation Threatened Spanish Teams Seek Redemption on Saturday

Alaves and Valencia meet in the highlight of the day in Spanish football, while Rayo Vallecano, Valladolid and Huesca hunt valuable points.
La Liga continues on Saturday with three matches and none of them have a clear favorite, just like the games on the previous day. Several teams trying to avoid relegation will be playing in the afternoon, but also two top squads trying to secure a Europa League berth.
Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano Meet at Noon
At 12 PM UK time, newly promoted Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano meet in a match that could decide their fate this season. Both have the same objective for 2019 and this is to avoid relegation and remain for at least one more season in the Spanish first division. Valladolid have home pitch advantage, but with just two victories in eight matches, they are not heavy favorites. We get odds of 11/10 at bet365 Sports on them to win and that’s only because Rayo Vallecano are awful on the road. They prevailed just once away from home and the odds of doing it again stand at 3/1.
Valencia are Favorites on the Road
A particularly interesting match is the one scheduled at 3:15 PM UK time between Alaves and Valencia. The hosts are undefeated at home and play against a team that has won only twice on the road. Under these circumstances, the odds of 23/10 offered by Winner Sports on Alaves to win are downright great. Equally tempting are the odds of 2/1 given by the same bookmaker on a draw, while a bet on Valencia is more difficult to justify. They do have a crushing head to head record though, with five victories in the last six matches regardless of venue, so odds of 3/2 are at least worth considering.
Huesca Seek Their First Win at Home
Huesca have had a couple of exciting matches this season, but overall lost too many points in dramatic fashion. After the disheartening defeat against Valencia in late 2018, they hunt for the first home win this season. They play against Betis, a team that isn’t exceptional on the road, but still gets massive odds of 5/2 to prevail. 888 Sport regards the draw just as likely, not surprisingly, given the high number of inconclusive matches for Huesca. Betis will be hoping for a narrow margin victory on the road and punters who bet on them to win can expect odds of 11/10, which is decent value.
