SOFTSWISS, a leading iGaming technology provider, has ventured into entertainment by backing F1: The Movie. This thrilling blockbuster captures the intensity of Formula 1 racing.
F1: The Movie was released in the US theaters on June 27, and SOFTSWISS had exclusive premiere screenings for its global clients and partners on July 4.
This iGaming company decided to support the film because its core values align with those tied to F1 – innovation, teamwork, performance, and growth. The idea originated from Rubens Barrichello, a former Formula 1 driver and non-executive director of SOFTSWISS for Latin America.
SOFTSWISS treated its partners and clients with exclusive premiere screenings of this film in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Valetta, Malta, only a week after the film’s global premiere. The company made an effort to deliver a unique experience to every visitor by rolling out red carpets, delivering champagne towers, and creating special photo zones inspired by the film.
One of the highlights was receiving a personal video greeting from one of the most famous F1 drivers of the early 2000s. Today, he serves as a non-executive director at SOFTSWISS, focusing on the Latin American emerging market. As expected, he shared some interesting memories about this competition and emphasized the thrill and uniqueness of Formula One.
Before this event, SOFTSWISS shared a reaction video from the former F1 driver in which he comments on the movie trailer. He identified key parallels between iGaming and competitive driving, including the value of teamwork, fostering individual growth, and embracing innovation for progress.
Rubens Barrichello joined SOFTSWISS in 2024, about 13 years after ending his Formula One World Championship career and 12 years after his short adventure in the IndyCar Series.
The Brazilian racing driver and broadcaster accepted SOFTSWISS’ invitation to join the team as its non-executive director in Latin America.
This appointment coincides with the liberalization of online gambling in Brazil, where this activity became legal as of January 1, 2025, as well as announcements of similar trends in other countries in the region.
