Arsenal and Liverpool Square off for a Place in the Champions League

Arsenal travels to Liverpool for a match between teams trying to salvage another disappointing season (5:30 p.m UK Time).
Liverpool seem to be freefalling and unless they end the slide quickly, their Champions League ambitions will be shattered. Given their poor form, this is the worst time to play against Arsenal, who had some time off to rebound. Wenger and his players are also under tremendous pressure after their humiliating defeat in the European competition. They travel to Anfield determined to salvage at least one point.
Klopp is Running out of Excuses
The German manager has the reputation of playing offensive football and defends this system vigorously. For a while, it looked like his arrival at Liverpool will bring the Reds back to the form that made them famous. Recent results have planted the seeds of doubt in the hearts of fans and management. The most recent defeat against Leicester was the straw that broke the camel’s back and the entire team is in disarray
A victory against Arsenal is precisely what Liverpool needs to reignite the flame. The problem is that with four players missing and big problems in the defensive area, the hosts looked pretty vulnerable. They have allowed so many goals on counter attacks that players are now reluctant to push forward.
Plenty to Worry About for Arsenal
The Gunners are far from happy with recent results and their fans have lost patience as well. The Premier League trophy is certainly lost and unless a miracle happens in the Champions League, Bayern will advance at their expense. Right now, they need to make sure they don’t drop another place in the standings. Clinging on to the fourth spot is essential to secure another Champions League berth in 2017.
As always when two of the best English teams go head to head, it’s difficult to pick up winners. Arsenal is clearly overpriced by all bookmakers, so they are the obvious choice. Risk-averse punters can mitigate the chances they take by choosing the double chance wager priced at 4/5 by bet365 Sports.
