Tour heads from Saint-Gildas-des Bois to Saint-Malo in 197 km flat stage this afternoon
The Tour de France heads into its 10 th day today in a 197 kilometer flat stage through Brittany from Saint-Gildas des Bois to Saint-Malo today, and the attention turns from runaway leader Chris Froome to the battle between the top sprinters.
This is a long stage but it is relatively flat, with only a small category 4 climb at kilometre 142. Slovakian Peter Sagan holds the green jersey and a 93-point lead in the points classification standings over German Andre Greipel. It remains to be seen where Greipel and the third-place holder in the points standing, Brit Mark Cavendish, will try to make a contest out of it today.
William Hill Sports is offering the following odds on Stage 10 Winner prior: Cavendish, 17/20, Greipel, 3/1, Sagan and Marcel Kittel, 7/1, Aleksander Kristoff, 33/1, Edvald Boasson Hagen, 40/1, Matt Goss, 50/1, all other riders at odds of 80/1 or over.
Froome is an almost unbackable 1/5 to win the Tour de France, while Hill is still taking bets on the following other categories: Points Classification Winner (Sagan 1/20), King of the Mountains, Team Classification Winner, Young Rider Winner. They are also accepting bets on how many staged Cavendish will win in the 2014 Tour stages being held on UK soil.
