BET RAISE FOLD to Hit Screens June 30

BET RAISE FOLD: The Story of Online Poker is the first ever feature documentary about the rise of online poker, and there isn't long to wait as it is scheduled for release this Sunday, June 30.

BRF explores the American online poker boom through three young poker players - Danielle Andersen, Tony Dunst and Martin Bradstreet (A Canadian). It also features a bunch of well-known poker pros as minor characters including the outspoken Daniel Negreanu and Greg Raymer.

The film obviously focuses greatly on the shock of Black Friday and the effect it had on online poker player in the US, while also delving through other events such as the rise of the World Series of Poker, poker's entry into television, the creation of poker celebrities and of course the 2006 law that banned online gambling and led to the (temporary) fall of poker a couple of years ago.

True to form, this movie about online poker will be available through the Internet. Players can order a copy through the BRF website, with trailers already online at the site and through their Twitter, Facebook and social network accounts in the week leading up to the movie's launch.

Keeping with the online theme, the producers of this groundbreaking documentary even raised funds online through crowdfunding site Kickstarter. It is worth noting that their target goal of $20,000 was met one month before the movie's launch, and that donors kept coming forward with thousands more dollars afterward.
