Monday Night Football: Online Betting for Colts vs GiantsPublished November 3, 2014 by Sol FH
The Indianapolis Colts head to NY to take on the Giants in tonight’s Monday Night Showdown at 01:30 UK time.
MetLife Stadium takes center stage tonight as the NFL heads into the second half of the 2014 regular season, featuring the Colts vs the Giants. Both teams need a win tonight and will be faced with a major challenge against the other.
Back on Track
The Colts lost last week’s game to the Pittsburgh Steelers 51-34 in what was a superhuman performance by Ben Roethlisberger. The Colts played a great game, Andrew Luck threw 400 yards and three touchdowns, but Big Ben broke franchise records with his 522 yards and six touchdown performance. The game left the Colts at 5-3, still atop the AFC South but even more hungry for a win tonight.
It has been a hard season for the Giants, they are third in the NFC east at 3-4, which is proving to be one of the toughest divisions of the season. Eli Manning just doesn’t have the rhythm he had when he led the Giants to Super Bowl glory, and he only has 14 TD’s this year, while going 146-225 with 1,573. Andrew Luck has gone 225-347 with 22TD’s and 2,731 yards.
The Colts are on the losing side of the injuries this week with five central players most-likely out tonight: Reggie Wayne, Erik Walden, Vontae Davis, D’Quell Jackson and Trent Richardson are all out, which is a huge hit to the defense.
The Giants are only without three players tonight but that includes Rashad Jennings and Jon Beason, while Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie is questionable.
Betting Odds and Prediction
This is one of the closest matchups we’ve seen all season for Monday Night Football. Bet365 Sports is on the ball with dozens of betting markets including Point Spread (Colts -3.0 – 1.86 – Giants +3.0 – 1.95), Outright, which the Colts are favored to win at 1.62 to the Giants 2.40, and a number of markets per quarter, score and virtually anything else upon punters’ request.
This should be a tight game tonight, but the Colts have the edge at 24-17.
