International Champions Cup: Manchester United vs Manchester City

The Champions Cup elite club friendly competition rages on with a huge match between United and City live at 2:30 GMT.

The last time that we were treated to a Manchester Derby was in April, earlier this year. That uneventful match ended in a 0-0 draw. We are lucky enough tonight to catch these two teams in action from Houston Texas, as a part of the Champions Cup pre-season tournament. Yes, this will be the first showdown between Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola, as they get ready for the 2017/18 soccer season. United may have a slight advantage tonight, as they were successful in both of their previous friendly matches against the LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake respectively, but City have some new face and a new game plan, which could defeat United.

The International Champions Cup is the perfect soccer fix for those missing out on the regular season, Champions League and other annual competitions. City will face Real Madrid, West Ham and Tottenham following their Derby match-up, while United go on to face Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valerenga and Sampdoria to come.

Some of the new signing's, Bernardo Silva, from Monaco, and Claudio Bravo have not made the trip due to their participation in the Confederations Cup with the two finalists, Portugal and Chile.  We may also new young guns Phil Foden, Brahim Diaz and Under-18 goalkeeper, Daniel Grimshaw and Arijanet Muric who are also in Houston.

Jose Mourinho has made signals that Juan Mata may not play after he hurt his ankle against Real Salt Lake, Matteo Darmian may be fit to play after a collision in training. We may also see new signing Lukaku play during the match, as Mourinho has expressed his wishes to see how he fairs in a potential partnership with Marcus Rashford.
