Protecting players in Italy is the joint cause of all parties involved.
Soon after eCOGRA's systems of protecting the remote gambling industry have been approved by ISO - an international standards authority, the independent player protection and standards body qualified to serve the Italian market as well.
The Italian body, and the International one too, have recognized the testing capabilities of eCOGRA, a London-based online gambling protection agency. It has provided the service to the online gambling industry for years, and is now in position to assist the Italian market as well.
AAMSeCOGRA has secured the approval of Italian regulator Amministrazione Autonoma Monopoli di Stato (Autonomous Administration of the State Monopolies) or AAMS.
It will now be able to act as a testing and monitoring agency for remote gambling platforms, random number generators and gaming operator applications. The standards by which eCOGRA will test them will be issued by AAMS.
According to eCOGRA announcements, further jurisdictions are expected to open up and recognize their services for their own local online gambling markets.
ISOA number of European remote gambling licensing jurisdictions require companies like eCOGRA to present approval of ISO. eCOGRA was indeed awarded the ISO approval back in July, 2011.
ISO, based in Geneva and founded in 1947, is a voluntary organization with an international flare, representing a number of countries and jurisdictions.
