La Liga Back In Action: Sevilla Vs. Real Betis
Published June 11, 2020 by Sol FH
The Spanish Primera League is back at it with a wild weekend of games ahead but not before tonight's clash, at 21:00 GMT.
Spanish soccer is back! Tonight will be the first match since the league paused, due to the Coronavirus on March 10th, and teams now have a shortened season behind closed doors to deal with. The first matchup back is tonight at 21:00 GMT, will be the Seville derby or El Gran Derbi as it has been titled in recent years is the game selected to restart the campaign between Sevilla and Real Betis at Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
Sevilla is in third place in the league behind Real Madrid (56-points) in second place, and Barcelona (58-points) in first. Los Palanganas is keen on making a run at a top-two position to end their season, but it will be tough to do so with time against them.
Sevilla will be without Gudelj who is still suspended and Ocampos will be out due to injury. Lopetegui could start either Munir or Nolito in his place.
For the visitors, Juanmi is the only absentee.
Real Betis is in 12th place and just before the Corona-break, they had beaten Real Madrid 2-1. Hopefully, they will be able to find some of that momentum and move up in the standings. They could easily make a top 5 run if they can win some key games in the remainder of the season.

The Spanish Primera League is back at all the bookmakers and bet365 Sport has some of the most competitive odds ahead of this match-up. Sevilla is listed as the favorites at 1.85, while Betis is at 4.00. A draw is at 3.60. These odds are a terrific opportunity to cash-in on the underdog. We must not forget that the "home advantage" is no longer relevant and the home team will not benefit from the roar of its fans. This will make it easier for Real Betis to shoot for a win.
