Optimal Payments approved as an online vendor for New Jersey online gambling sites.
When the news broke out regarding online casinos being able to offer services in the state of New Jersey, companies that could get a hand in the cookie jar have tried. Some have had success and others, not so much, but in a recent decision by the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) Optimal Payments has been approved to offer their services to customers in New Jersey.
DGE has made Optimal one of the first online payment businesses that can offer its payment and risk management solutions to online gambling operators with licenses in the state.
Some of the biggest online gambling brands like Bally Technologies and Caesars Interactive had opted in for the use of Optimal Payments Solutions and the president of Optimal Mr. Joel Leonoff said that he was "excited" for what's to come and they are: "leveraging (their) vast experience and expertise to help facilitate online payments for (their) partners in New Jersey."
In 2011, the company was bought out by Neovia Financial in a $50 million deal and renamed Optimal Payments. The Optimal stock was trading up 5.54 to 305.00 per share earlier this week.
