After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, United poised to make the Europa League quarterfinal. Check out the match tonight at 20:05 GMT.
United traveled to Rostov, Russia last week for the first time ever in the first leg of their round of 16 tie. Rostov had never played against an English Premier League side and for their first time, they did very well earning a 1-1 draw. True, the game lacked luster in many ways, but Henrikh Mkhitaryan's goal in the 35th minute stood out to give Man. U a 1-0 lead. The game was uneventful until Aleksandr Bukharov leveled the score in the 53rd. Players complained that playing on Rostovs' pitch was like playing on concrete, but tonight the match is at Old Trafford and Rostov will surely be in for an interesting experience in front of the 75,000+ expected to be in the stands tonight.
The Red Devils will be playing without Wayne Rooney tonight, as the injured captain is not fit. They will also be without Anthony Martial. The team is in a great position to make it to the final of the Europa league with a ticket back into the Champions League on the line. Since they are only in sixth place in the Premier League, this is basically their best bet to get back into the big time.
Rostov made the 3,000 km journey to Manchester and are huge underdogs to win tonight. They have not won a single match in their last five European away matches, but they are in their first ever round of 16 and a couple of away goals could be all they need to secure an upset.
