NBA Finals: Suns Vs. Bucks

Game 2 tips off tonight at 2:00 GMT with the Phoenix Suns up 1-0 after a thrilling Game 1.

Chris Paul was the star of the show last night as the Phoenix Suns rolled to a Game 1 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, for the Suns' first win in an NBA Finals in over 28 years.

The Suns haven't won a game in the Finals since 1993 and Paul didn't let that fail as the Suns won 118-105. The Suns outscored the Bucks in 3 of 4 quarters of action, making a statement to open up the best-of-seven series.

It was Chris Paul's first-ever NBA Finals game and he outshined the competition. He finished with a big 32-points, 4-rebounds, and 9-assists and went 12-for-19 from the field.

The veteran point guard had an outstanding performance in his first-ever NBA Finals game. He finished with 32 points, four rebounds, and nine assists. He was 12-for-19 from the field overall and went 4-for-7 from the three-point range.

Paul did not do it alone, he had the full support of his teammates and from the bench. Six of the Suns' players finished with double digits, including a big game from Devin Booker who finished with 27-points, 6-assists, and 3-steals. Deandre Ayton also played incredibly well with 22-points and 19-rebounds.

One of the differentiators in this game was at the free-throw line. Phoenix missed just 1 free throw.

One of the bigger factors in the Suns’ win came at the foul line. Phoenix’s only missed free-throw came in the fourth quarter. The Suns finished 25-for-26 from the line. Milwaukee was only 9-for-16.

Key Challenges for Game 2

The Bucks must play better. Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to the Bucks and started after hyperextending his knee in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. He had 20 points and 17 rebounds, which is not his best performance but played extremely well on the boards.
