NBA Preview: Warriors Vs. Jazz
Published May 10, 2021 by Sol FH
The red hot Golden State Warriors take on the first-place Utah Jazz tonight at 3:00 GMT.
The Golden State Warriors have a couple of very tough games over the next few nights and it all begins tonight against the Utah Jazz, followed by a game against the second-place Phoenix Suns. The Warriors are on a two-game win streak and Steph Curry continues to break records and is arguably the hottest player in the league right now.
The Jazz lost their last game but they are the only squad to have reached 50 wins at this point this season. They have been struggling as of late, mainly due to the loss of their top scorer, Donovan Mitchell, and, their best point guard, Mike Conley.
Michell is still out with a right ankle sprain and he hasn't improved, leaving the team no choice but to delay his return.
On the other hand, Conley, set to miss his 8th-straight game is still tender from a hamstring that doesn't want to loosen up.
The Warriors just had a huge win over the Thunder, and fans were treated to a formidable performance by Steph Curry who had 49-points, including 11 three-pointers in 29-minutes. Curry is simply on fire and has been the reason for the Warriors' improvement over the last few weeks. He singlehandedly destroys his opponents and drives the defense crazy in the process.
The Warriors lost Klay Thompson and James Wiseman for the rest of the season, but, Eric Paschall, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Damion Lee are also ruled out for tonight's game.
Pascall is dealing with a left hip flexor strain, Oubre Jr. continues to recover from left wrist soreness. Meanwhile, Lee is out due to health and safety protocols.
