Bitcoin's latest price surge has sent traders to Polymarket in search of the next move. We look at the biggest BTC prediction markets, their volumes, price targets and rapid-fire hourly markets.
Bitcoin's latest rally has given Polymarket's BTC prediction markets plenty to talk about. As prices pushed higher, traders turned their attention to fresh price targets, short-term moves and even the next few minutes.
In this article, we watch the current Bitcoin markets move and offer a snapshot of what bettors can expect next.
The action ranges from longer-running markets with tens of millions in volume to hourly contracts that can open and close within minutes. When looking at the biggest movers in the Crypto/Bitcoin category, two markets stand out immediately:
This hot betting market has attracted more than $20.3 million in volume. It resolves on August 31, 2026 and asks whether Bitcoin will reach specified price levels during August.
At the time of gathering our market data (August 25, 3-5 AM ET), the Below $77,500 outcome was priced at 62%, while Above $82,500 stood at 61%.
The resolution rules are unusually specific. The market uses Binance's BTC/USDT one-minute candles. To resolve Yes, a candle must record a final High at or above the relevant price. Prices from other exchanges or trading pairs do not count.

The bigger market is ‘What price will Bitcoin hit in 2026?’, with more than $59 million in volume and a December 31 resolution.
Its rules use the same Binance BTC/USDT one-minute candle methodology. That means a brief intraday spike can matter, even if Bitcoin later falls back below the target.

Longer-term price targets are only part of the story. Polymarket also offers a stream of Bitcoin bets on the market's Ups or Downs. These operate on much shorter timeframes, including daily, hourly, four-hour, 15-minute, and five-minute contracts.
The data showed more than $168,000 in daily volume and around $17,000 in hourly volume.
The hourly version works around a simple question: does Bitcoin's closing price finish at or above its opening price for the specified Binance BTC/USDT one-hour candle?
That sounds straightforward. The interesting part is how quickly the market price changes as the candle approaches its close.
When observing the charts in real time from August 25, it shows just how dramatic those movements can become.
Around 30 minutes before one hourly market closed, Up was priced at $0.69 and Down at $0.32.

Around nine minutes before the close, the market had swung heavily in the other direction, with Up at $0.02 and Down at $99.00.

The final result was Down, with Bitcoin closing at $79,705.79, compared with an opening price of $80,574.09.

A separate hourly market showed the opposite outcome. About 30 minutes before closing, Up was priced at $0.92 and Down at $0.08.

Around nine minutes before the close, the displayed prices had moved sharply again.

The eventual outcome was Up, with Bitcoin finishing at $79,913.01, compared with an opening price of $79,705.79.

The appeal is partly about timing. A large monthly or annual Bitcoin market gives participants a much longer window to follow. The hourly markets are different. Their prices can change dramatically as the underlying candle develops. That creates a constantly moving stream of markets while Bitcoin itself remains volatile.
There are also shorter price-target markets. The data includes Bitcoin trading above $54,000 and $56,000 on August 25, with both levels showing 100% at the time recorded and more than $1 million in market volume.
Another market covering August 24–30 showed Above $88,000 at 62% and Above $84,000 at 36%, with more than $225,000 in volume. These figures are snapshots, though. Prediction-market prices can change quickly as new information reaches participants.
One detail is easy to overlook: these markets are not necessarily resolved using a general Bitcoin price visible on any exchange. For most Polymarket markets (as well as the ones observed here), Binance BTC/USDT data is the specified resolution source.
That distinction matters when Bitcoin briefly touches a target. A move on another exchange may not count. Likewise, the exact candle settings can determine whether a particular price movement qualifies.
Top Tip: Always check the market rules before interpreting a percentage as a straightforward Bitcoin price forecast.
The current selection shows how price prediction-market activity can expand when Bitcoin starts making bigger moves. There are long-term price targets, weekly thresholds and rapid hourly markets running alongside each other. Volumes range from tens of thousands of dollars to tens of millions. The most striking feature is the speed.
An hourly market can move from a relatively balanced split to an overwhelming price on one side in a matter of minutes. Then the market closes, and the result is determined by the specified Binance candle, and attention moves to the next contract.
For Bitcoin watchers, that makes Polymarket's current Crypto/Bitcoin section a useful window, especially for those who are venturing into the specific questions props participants are asking right now: How high can Bitcoin go, and what happens?
Bitcoin's rally has created a busy stretch for prediction markets, with fresh price targets appearing alongside rapid-fire Up or Down contracts. However, it's not just online prediction markets where crypto betting is heating up.
