NJ outplays Nevada, Delaware in mobile gambling arena.
Who will launch the first US mobile casino? It appears that New Jersey will be the first state to do so, gaining the jump on the two other states to legalize some form of online gambling - Nevada and Delaware.
How NJ Did It
New Jersey is set to host its first online casinos by the scheduled launch date of November 23, with a number of existing Atlantic City casino partnering with online gambling companies to offer-real money internet gambling to customers located within the state's borders.
It is also open to launching mobile casinos this winter. As opposed to Nevada, which has restricted its mobile gambling launch to poker only, NJ's laws do not include any restrictions against mobile casinos - which means that its licensed online casinos can go ahead and launch mobile platforms too.
Huge Demand
If the latest reports are any indication, online and mobile gambling are set to take off in a big way when they are finally launched to the public in New Jersey late next month.
The American Gaming Association and H2 Gambling Capital research firm have just released a report which found that Americans spent $2.6 billion on online gambling in 2012 from a total global egaming market of $33 billion - despite the ambiguity of existing US Internet gaming laws.
