NFL Regular Season Kicks Off: Let's Go!

The 2020 NFL Regular Season is finally here. Check out this Week 1 preview as games kick-off over the weekend and Monday night.

We have been waiting, hoping, praying, that the NFL would be back; and now it's finally here. With Week 1 of the 2020 NFL Regular Season upon us, it's time to take a serious look at everything going on around the league and make some predictions on all the games.

We will start off with this season's grand opening on Friday night, between the defending NFL Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans.

Chiefs vs. Texans, Friday, 1:20 GMT

The Houston Texans look to play opening week spoilers against the defending NFL Champions. The Texans have won four AFC South titles over their last five seasons, but, they have unfortunately never made it past the Divisional Round in the post-season. Friday night's game will be a chance for some sweet revenge against the Chiefs who eliminated the Texans 51-31 in last season's playoffs.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are big favorites to win and punters will find pre-game odds at bet365 Sports of 1.23 for an outright win, while the Texans are back at 4.25.

Prediction

Kansas City will be out to win and if they can continue where they left off last year, there won't be much hope for Houston. Expect the Chiefs to lock this one up at 35-20.

Bills vs. Jets, Sunday, 18:00 GMT

Sunday football will start with a battle for NY, as the Bills host the Jets for the 14th time between them. The Bills won their last home opener against the Jets in 2019, but, for these two unpredictable teams, anything could happen in Week 1.

This will be the third time Josh Allen and Sam Darnold will have met in the NFL and there is a lot of expectations as to how both QBs will perform this year. Despite being good friends, Darnold and Allen will be all business Sunday NIght at both teams search for opening week glory.

10bet Sports has the Bills on top at 1.33 and the Jets down at 3.55, but this could be the opportunity punters are waiting for.

Prediction

The underdog would be a great bet here, as the Jets are playing better and hope that their offense will stay strong. Expect a Jets win 28-24.

Vikings vs. Packers, Sunday, 18:00 GMT

This is the Week 1 highlight if you wanted to know, as no other rivalry is as hot as this one. The Vikings and the Packers are two of the best teams in the league, in what is arguably the toughest division in the NFL. This is most-likely the Divisional game and will give fans a great idea as to how the NFC North will look this year.

Last season, both teams made the playoffs, with the Packers finishing the year at 13-3, while Minnesota finished 10-6. Expect a big game from Aaron Rodgers, but don't count the Vikings out, ever. bet365 Sports has the Vikings out in front at 1.68 and the Packers closeby at 2.25.

Prediction

Rodgers will have a big game but the Vikings will take them down for one of their only losses this year. Expect a close game but Minnesota will prevail 36-27.

Falcons vs. Seahawks, Sunday, 18:00 GMT

The Atlanta Falcons will host the Seahawks at the Mercedes-Benz Dome on Sunday night. These teams met in Atlanta last season in Week 8 and the Seahawks won by a single touchdown, 27-20.

The Falcons had a very rough start to the season last year going 1-7. They completely turned things around in the second half going 6-2 and they hope that the same way they ended last year will be the way they start this year.

We’ll get a great battle here with Matt Ryan and Russell Wilson at the helm of their respective teams. bet365 Sports likes the Seahawks at 1.74 while the Falcons are not far off at 2.15.

Prediction

Russell Wilson will not let Seattle fans down and will get the win on-the-road. Expect the Seahawks to win big 38-17.

Broncos vs Titans, Monday, 3:20 GMT

It will be the Week 1 finale but one of the most anticipated games, as we get to watch Tom Brady wearing his new colors. After 20 years and an amazing 6 Superbowl rings, Brady looks to rebrand his new home - Tompa Bay.

The Titans made it to the AFC Championship game last season and with Brady's experience and leadership behind the line, we could be seeing the best Titans team in years.

At 10Bet Sports, the Titans are favorites at 1.74, while the Broncos are at 2.20.

Predication

The Titans will be ready to go and should get the win. Expect a score of 28-17 for the end result.

There are a ton of additional games to catch over the next few days and it should be a wild start to the regular season.

The odds in this article at the bookmakers mentioned above were accurate at the time of writing on September 9, 21:15 GMT.
