The Dallas Cowboys have been on an amazing 10-game winning streak since losing the opening game of the season. The Boys are now 10-1 and face the 6-5 Minnesota Vikings tonight at US Bank Stadium. For Dallas, this will be their third game in just 12 days, which could be trouble for the tired team, but recent wins over the Ravens and the Redskins have shown just how talented their young QB and RB duo has become.
When the Vikings started the season 5-0, people thought that this was their year, even without their star RB Adrian Peterson. The Vikings have been plagued with injuries and are coming off of a gut-wrenching 16-13 Thanksgiving Day loss at the Lions. Those that initially thought that this was a Vikings season have quickly backtracked and are right by saying this could be the Cowboys' year.
Dallas' rookie quarterback Dak Prescott and fellow rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott have been keys to the Boys' success, but they are getting support from every single position on the team. Prescott is the outright leader in passing yards with 2,835, 18 touchdowns and a 108.6 passer rating. Elliott leads the entire NFL with 1,999 yards on the ground and has broken the franchise record. Possibly the biggest asset to the Cowboys roster is their kicker, Dan Bailey with the golden boot that has been essential in every game so far.
The Vikings have the third best defense in the league allowing on average only 307 yards per game. Xavier Rhodes has pulled in four interceptions and a memorable 100 yard return for a touchdown two weeks ago. The problems for the Vikings come on offense with their quarterback Sam Bradford at the helm. Bradford can be dangerous at home and has passed for 1,261 yards with no interceptions for a QB rating of 109.2 in his five home games. The Vikings are strong at home with a 4-1 record so far this year.
Bradford has one of the most dangerous weapons on offense in receiver Stefon Diggs with 67 receptions this year and now that he is back, tonight could be another Vikings victory.
