William Hill offers 10/1 on United City double at the top of the table.
With almost half the season gone, ladder-leading Manchester United is now 12/1 at bookmaker William Hill to go through the entire English Premier League season undefeated, matching a feat achieved by Arsenal in the 2003-04 season.
Premiership FavoriteUnited has now emerged as the clear premiership favorite with all 20 clubs currently in the middle of a grueling fixture over the Christmas and New Year's holiday period that sees some clubs play as many as four matches in 10 games.
Aside from offering bets on United going undefeated, William Hill is also now offering 10/1 on the Red Devils to win the title with cross-town rival Manchester City runner-up, and offering 20/1 on the same top two but vice-versa.
Five teams are realistically in the running to win the title, while things are heating up down at the other end of the table too, now that Wolves has taken over from West Ham in bottom place.
- William Hill title odds: Man Utd, evens; Chelsea, 9/4; Arsenal, 5/1; Man City, 9/1; Tottenham, 28/1.
- William Hill relegation odds: Wolves, 4/7; West Ham, 4/5; Wigan, 6/5; Blackpool, 15/8; Fulham, 2/1; Blackburn, 13/5; Birmingham, 3/1; Newcastle, 11/2, West Brom, 13/2, Aston Villa, 8/1.
Off with His HeadMeanwhile, Fulham boss Mark Hughes has shortened from 12/1 to 9/1 to be the next Premier League manager out of a job after his side lost to West Ham and neared the relegation zone.
- Next manager out, William Hill: Grant, 4/7; Mancini, 11/4; Hodgson, 9/2; McCarthy, 6/1; Ancelotti, Hughes, 9/1.
