The Canadian province of Ontario officially welcomed legal online gaming on Monday, April 4, 2022. Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS), now operating as Light & Wonder, is spearheading initiatives in Ontario with a wide range of iGaming operations. Light & Wonder has bolstered its position in the North American market with the rollout of iGaming services across Ontario, Canada. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and its subsidiary division, iGaming Ontario, are in charge of the province's licensing and regulation of private operators.
