Playtech Bonds with GiG to Keep Blazing the Poker Product TrailPublished June 3, 2020 by Lee R
The more Playtech grows, the more popular the iPoker Network becomes.
Playtech is a well-known supplier brand, but many forget that reputation was built on something it continues to pride itself on today—leading poker products.
New Playtech Agreement
A new agreement with Gaming Innovation Group GiG will support GiG with Playtech’s trademark iPoker Network.
GiG will integrate Playtech’s award-winning iPoker Network platform as part of its own network, marking Gig's initial foray into online poker offerings for its boutique clientele.
New Poker Heights
GiG now becomes one of the largest poker networks in the world, reuniting 35,000 players in the poker segment—including those of Sweden-based Enlabs AB, whom last year migrated from GG Network to Playtech’s iPoker.
At this point, Playtech's dominance in the global iGaming poker space is second to none, supporting poker products in the majority of regulated markets with many more licenses forthcoming.
On the front end, GiG partners will have access to a far broader portfolio of poker games, such as Omaha; Omaha Hi/Lo; 6-Plus Hold’em; various Sit & Go’s and the most popular version of Texas Hold’em.
The Unique iPoker Network
The iPoker network at this point is a significant technological achievement--fully optimized to run smoothly on any device through leading HTML5 software architecture for Android and iOS.
GiG has further enriched the platform with new microservices options to increase flexibility, scalability, and product quality.
Leaders Speak, and Celebrate
Leaders at both organisations have already praised the agreement. GiG CCO Ben Clemes looks forward to expanding options for GiG network partners and enhancing user experience, while the deal edified Playtech's investment in developing an online platform that is available as a dedicated download client and native poker app.
The speed and extent to which the flexibility that this new deal provide the GiG platform will determine further growth and collaboration between the two happy new partners, and looks like a leadership model fit for a technology specialist leader such as Playtech.
