The company never misses a chance to support worthy causes and makes two generous donations this month. It supported two autism charities with €18,000, a donation that comes right on time for the World Autism Awareness Month. The money will be put to good use to help those who need it the most, with the beneficiaries being people from Romania and Malta.
Pragmatic Play Supports Autism Voice in Romania
The first donation made during the World Autism Awareness Month went to Autism Voice in Romania, a charity founded in 2008. Right from the start, the nonprofit organization aimed to provide help to families with autistic children. It has two sites in Romania and it is on the verge of opening a research center that will cover in excess of 1000 m². This new location will be constructed in Bucharest and it will include spaces dedicated to research and development of advanced therapy programs.
The new construction will also have a generous space dedicated to therapy sessions, training, and counselling. The volunteers working round-the-clock will benefit from a generous donation from Pragmatic Play and the money will be used to fund the new setting. A few months from now, the research center will open its doors to autistic children, no later than the end of 2022.
A Reliable Supporter for Autism Parents Association
Pragmatic Play is actively supporting charitable organizations in Malta, and Autism Parents Association is one of the beneficiaries of their programs. In order to mark World Autism Awareness Month, the company donated a significant amount to the Maltese charity. Since it was founded, the Association has developed youth projects such as the celebrated Social Integration Programme for Teens (SIPT). The money donated by the content provider will be used to purchase gaming consoles and board games.
Autism Parents Association is very active and holds regular sessions that are aimed and improving social interactions and behavior, all in the context of fun activities. Such initiatives are essential for the well-being of autistic children and are proven to improve mental health while increasing interaction. Donations are vital for organizing these activities with a high frequency to empower social skills and cognitive tests. Julian Jarvis, CEO of Pragmatic Play highlighted the role of the company’s CSR program in helping communities and vowed to maintain the support for good causes at high levels.
