Premier League Matchday 24: Liverpool vs. Leicester City

The Reds are in chase of the top spot in the Premier League and take on Leicester tomorrow at 19:45 GMT.

Mohamed Salah is thought to have already returned to Merseyside and is ready to face Leicester City on Thursday night. Egypt was defeated in the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday night, and Salah is claimed to have returned quickly, flying back to England on Monday morning.

Salah's return contrasts with that of Salah's teammate Sadio Mane, who was involved in riotous scenes in Senegal on Monday night as the victorious team celebrated lavishly in Dakar. Jurgen Klopp stated last week that he expects both players to be available when Leicester visits Anfield on Thursday night.

Liverpool vs. Leicester

This will be the fifth meeting between these teams in the last 15 months, with the previous four meetings all ending in a home victory.

The Reds have won nine of their 15 Premier League meetings at Anfield, demonstrating the importance of home advantage. In the Premier League history, Leicester had only three wins, the most recent of which was in May 2000, more than two decades ago.

People anticipate the Egyptian King to return from the AFCON enraged and with a point to prove, as seen by his tremendous odds here. Mo Salah has four goals in eight outings for Liverpool versus Leicester City. In his last six games, he has only played one against them.

Brendan Rodgers said he felt "embarrassed" by his Leicester side's loss to Nottingham Forest only days before their trip to Liverpool, casting doubt on many players' futures.

Despite fielding many of Rodgers' first-choice starters, including Youri Tielemans, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, and Wilfred Ndidi, Leicester was defeated 4-1 by Nottingham Forest.

Rodgers told BBC Sport after the game, "That's the first time I've been embarrassed since I've been here."
