What a game! Super Bowl LI was won by the New England Patriots, but only after the greatest comeback of all-time in a championship game, led by none other than Tom Brady. The final overtime result was 34-28, but up until the fourth quarter, it was all about the Atlanta Falcons. This was in fact the very first Super Bowl to go to overtime, but the Patriots broke the biggest comeback record, recovering from 25 point deficit to get Brady his fifth ring.
There is now no question that Tom Brady is the best QB of all-time. He finished his fifth Super Bowl victory with a record 466 yards, was named MVP for the fourth time, completed a record 43 passes and broke the record for most Super Bowl appearances with seven. Brady could not have pulled this off without the incredible record-breaking performances from guys like James White. White finished the game with 14 receptions (record) and 20 points (also a record). Let's not forget arguably the best coach in the history of the game, as Bill Belichick set a new record for most Super Bowls and Super Bowl wins (7 and 5 respectively).
To make this all happen the Patriots scored 19 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, which included a couple of two-point conversions and some incredible plays to get there. Brady, who was without his favorite target in Rob Gronkowski went to Julian Edelman with 2:28 remaining the fourth quarter, down 28-20 and as if touched by the hands of God, Edelman brought the ball down surrounded by three Falcons.
