The WSOP is Underway in Las Vegas

58 events comprise the WSOP 2011 championship and millions of dollars is up for grabs.

The glittering Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada is currently hosting the World Series of Poker. The WSOP gold bracelet ranks among the most coveted prizes in the poker world and players from around the world converge on Vegas for this tournament.

The 2011 WSOP has already begun in earnest and players will be taking their poker playing smarts to the next level as they vie for the title of WSOP champion.

Highlights of the Tournament

Monday 6th June showcased Event #10 of the contest. It's the No-Limit Hold'em/Six-Handed contest with $1,500 buy-in. This is the beginning of a 3-day event.
June 6th was also Event #11 of the contest. The Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship kicks into high-gear over the course of 3 days. It's a $10,000 buy-in with plenty of cash up for grabs.
Thursday 9th June is the beginning of Event #16 the 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship (No-Limit). It is a 3-day event with a $10,000 buy-in.
Monday 13th June is another exciting 3-day event. It's Event#23 the 8 Game Mix. This contest features Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, Limit Hold'em, Seven Card Razz, Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, Seven Card Stud, No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball.
Saturday 18th June sees the start of Event #33, the Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship.
Friday 24th June 17h00 sees the start of the 42nd Event, the Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. The buy-in is set at $10,000 and all hands are on the deck waiting for this one to unfold.
Come Saturday 2nd July at 17h00, Event #55 will begin: The Poker Player's Championship. This $50,000 buy-in features the following games Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, Seven Card Razz, Limit Hold'em, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball, No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha.
On Thursday 7th July at high noon a glittering 13-day event unfolds. It's the final contest - Event #58: the No-Limit Hold'em Championship. The buy-in starts at $10,000 and mega-jackpot poker pots are up for grabs.
