US DoJ agrees to unfreeze Irish account belonging to poker room’s co-founder.
Full Tilt Poker has freed up more than one-third of the $100 million to $150 million still owed to US players following Black Friday after unfreezing one Irish account.
Bank of Ireland Account Holds KeyAccording to a report filed by eGaming Review Magazine, the United States Department of Justice finally unfroze the Irish account - which belongs to Full Tilt and its co-founder Raymond Bitar - over the weekend, meaning the company now has access to millions owed to its American customers. However, no date has been confirmed for when players will be paid the funds owed them. PokerStars has already paid back funds owed to its customers, worth $100 million.
The account - one of nine frozen in Ireland and one of 76 named in the April 15 indictments against the heads of Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and Absolute Poker, holds more than a third of the approximately $100 million to $150 million owed to US customers.

Those attempts have until now been unsuccessful, but we will keep you updated all the way on this and other matters related to the return of poker funds following the US Department of Justice indictments.
