West Ham vs Manchester United: Matchday 20 PreviewPublished January 2, 2017 by Sol FH
West Ham hope to move up in the standings, but need to beat Man. U today at 17:15 GMT.
West Ham and Man U have a serious rivalry. For the last five consecutive Premier League matches between the two, the Red Devils have not been able to beat the The Hammers, which is the second longest winless streaks against a team, other than against Chelsea (eight matches total from 2013 until now). Man U was bumped out of the top four after Tottenham won last week and took over the spot, but Jose Mourinho's men are set on winning tonight and moving back into the top-flight.
West Ham have won back to back matches at London Stadium, but lost to Leicester last week on-the-road. It has been an inconsistent year for West Ham, but a win tonight would definitely do a lot to boost the team's morale. United are no slouches on the road registering five wins already this season off of Old Trafford grounds. In their last four away games they are unbeaten and if they can win tonight it would be the first time since February of 2015.
Man U has not played extremely well in London, with only two victories over their last ten games - both against Crystal Palace. Pogba is playing very well for Mourinho, being involved in four goals in the last four Premier League appearances with two goals and two assists.
