William Hill, online bookmakers tighten odds on British cyclist winning world's biggest race
William Hill and other bookmakers are tightening odds on British cyclist Bradley Wiggins defeating all comers and claiming the Tour de France - the sports' biggest annual event - just weeks ahead of the 2012 London Olympics.
Tour de France BettingWilliam Hill Online is quoting 1/3 odds on Bradley Wiggins winning the Tour de France outright, after he traversed the first mountains stage unscathed. Reigning champ Cadel Evans is 4/1, Chris Froome is 7/1, and Vincenzo Nibali is 16/1. Wiggins is 2/5 to wear the yellow leader's jersey all the way to the finish line in Paris.
In the King of the Mountains classification, Thomas Voeckler has risen to 17/10 favourite after conquering Wednesday's race. He is followed by Pierre Rolland, 5/1, Chris Anker Sorensen, 7/1, Chris Froome pops up once again at 8/1, Sandy Casar is also 8/1, and Thibault Pinot 11/1.
