World Series Game 6: Cleveland with a Chance to Win It All Tonight!Published November 1, 2016 by Sol FH
The Indians are up 3-2 and have home-field advantage for Game 6, live at 00:08 GMT tonight.
What an incredible World Series it has been so far. Neither team has won the title in so long that they both deserve a win, but unfortunately only one team can do so and right now, the Cleveland Indians have home field advantage and are only one win away from winning their first World Series since 1948. A win tonight would be an incredible feat for the team, but also for the city of Cleveland, as it would be the second championship win in a professional American sport in the last year, as the Cavs won the 2015/16 NBA Finals.
The Indians could win the whole thing tonight, but the Chicago Cubs are still refusing to go away and won Game 5, 3-2. Since their Game 1 victory, the Cubs have seen a decline in their offense not scoring enough runs to win games. The Indians' pitching staff has been a big part of this, not allowing the Cubs to rally. The defense for the Indians has also been amazing with a ton of support coming from the infield and outfield respectively.
Head to Head
Cleveland will send Josh Tomlin to the mound after having a very short rest from his last start in Game 3. He went 4 2/3 scoreless innings leading the Tribe to a 1-0 victory, but that will not be enough to beat a hungry Cubs team in Game 6. The Cubs are going with Jake Arrieta, the same pitcher that lead the Cubs to their 5-1 victory in Game 2, allowing just two hits in 5 2/3 innings.
World Series Odds
This year's World Series has been one of the most heavily bet upon in history. Punters from around the world have been making competitive bets at bet365 Sports, due to the attractive lines that the UK sportsbook has been posting. Surprisingly, the odds are in favor of the Cubs at 1.62, while the Indians, with home-field advantage are at 2.40. Punters should consider the underdog bet here and go with the Tribe for a big payday.
