Live Dealer Casinos โ€“ The Future

Live dealer games are the best online casinos have managed in emulating the land based casino experience. In addition, live casinos are arguably the best use online casinos have managed to make with today's technology, namely streaming video. Which are the biggest live dealer markets? Which is the most popular live dealer casino game? We offer answers to these questions and more. Live Baccarat or Live Roulette? Roulette and Baccarat are the largest live dealer games, pretty much tied for no. 1 and 2. Of course Blackjack is a big hit too in its live dealer version. Baccarat, a high rollers favorite, is where the most professional live dealers can be found, treating players to a classy gaming experience, all the more exciting with live video. Live Roulette, on the other hand, is a lot about the spinning wheel, the action-filled environment, filling your computer screen with live video. Another secret to what makes a casino game popular in its live dealer version is whether it picks up in a certain market, namely one of the two big online gambling markets - Europe and Asia. Europe or Asia? For the time being, at least until the US market will open up to online gambling in general, and live dealers specifically, the largest market for these games is the UK. France, Greece, and other European countries are also picking up on live casinos. The global picture is a reflection of the game offerings; casinos feature Live Asian Dealer and Live European dealers. Yes, Asia - a continent that spans China, the Philippines and other active gambling communities - is expected to catch up soon. Future of US Market? Expected to take other markets by storm, and to likely change the face of live dealers altogether, is the US market. With regulation - whenever that will be - it will likely be the large casinos from Las Vegas who will broadcast live dealer games. When will the day come that we will see cameras on the casino floors in Vegas?

Rival Software Ends US Player Registrations

One of the world's most popular software gaming giants, Rival Software, has announced that new US player registrations will no longer be accepted. This became effective on the August 7, 2011. It has however been stated that existing US players will still be able to deposit and even earn commissions on all player-generated revenues. No More New US Player Registrations TopGame will be replacing the AffiliateWIDE network which includes several leading online casinos. The news out of the Rival Software network is that other Rival networks are likely to switch too. Owing to the decision to disallow new US players from registering the strength of the Rival Software network will likely continue to weaken. Diminishing Player Interest It has been noted that several of Rival's associated sites have been experiencing diminishing player interest in recent times. This news comes on the back of the infamous Black Friday sting against US Poker and online gambling sites. Of course this information is hardly newsworthy, given that Rival-powered casinos were blocking US players as of June this year. Rival Gaming has licensed over 20 online casinos. These online gaming sites provide players with superior audio-visuals, animation and gaming quality. Gaming markets are reacting to the news with a combination of surprise and fulfilled expectation. Black Friday was the catalyst sparking the withdrawal from the US market. On the positive side, there are multiple online casinos able to pick up the slack as the gaming world re-arranges itself accordingly.

New Greek Online Gambling Market Laws

Greece is in the process of approving sweeping changes to its eGaming laws. The changes will see the country allowing online gaming operators being able to market their wares on Greek advertising media prior to them receiving their advertising licenses. This news has already resulted in advertising and marketing channels jockeying for position to cash in on the dramatic new legislation. Terms of the New Deal All EU-licensed gaming operators who are entering into a licensing procedure with Greece will be paying some 30% GPT. Online players will be paying a 10% tax on all winnings, throughout the transitional timeframe which is expected to last six months. All operational activities will begin once the Control Committee in Greece has been formed. This will give carte blanche to gaming operators to offer their wares to the people of Greece in both offline and online media channels. Exclusions and Objections to the Proposed Changes The positive news on the part of the Greek government - according to online gaming operators - is that all EU betting operators are able to market themselves in all forms of media throughout Greece. However the exclusion of betting exchanges has been a point of contention. The Greek government has been keen to protect its very own betting exchange - OPAP - from foreign competition. The hope is that private gaming operators and exchanges will be able to compete freely in the Greek market for a slice of the pie. Greece is under immense European and international pressure to get its financial house in order, ahead of massive and unprecedented bailout proposals. The Greek government is effectively being compelled to adhere to EU laws and statutes regarding all manner of accepted norms in the union. As concerns the taxation on eGaming entities, this will be applied retroactively to January 1, 2010.

Full Tilt Poker's Two Licenses

Full Tilt Poker has been involved in some spectacular news headlines of late. The beleaguered online poker powerhouse has been fingered out by the US Department of Justice and the FBI as an illegally operating poker site. To add fuel to the fire, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission recently recanted Full Tilt's primary license to operate. According to legal sources associated with FTP, the $400,000 in unpaid licensing fees was the result of the said poker room not believing that Alderney would re-license it. The outstanding figure has now been paid. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission Steps In In the first week of August 2011, Kahnawke agreed to re-issue a secondary gaming license to Full Tilt Poker. This is a result of Kahnawake believing that Full Tilt Poker's primary license with Alderney is still valid. Kahnawake renewed a secondary client provider authorization for a term of 2 years. The news from Alderney is that Full Tilt Poker still has a license, albeit suspended pending the outcome of a hearing on September 15, 2011. It has been made known however that Kahnawake would be able to rescind its CPA license of Full Tilt Poker should Alderney deny them a primary license. As for Full Tilt Poker players, there is no indication that the poker room will re-open prior to the outcome of the hearing.

Cryptologic Software Records Profit

Online gambling software company Cryptologic left Canada for Ireland several years ago, and now it headed north again - figuratively that is - as it recovers from the financial difficulties of the past. Records quarterly profit The Irish-Canadian online casino games supplier just announced that it recorded its first quarterly profit in more than three years, which sees them end a longstanding string of losses that had people in the industry talking. The company has not come out in public yet to say how they did this, but various internet gambling blogs and news sites point out that they have halved their operating expenses, while also increasing year-on-year revenue by 4 percent in the second quarter of 2011. Still a big name Despite all the bad news surrounding the company in recent years, its name still carries with it a strong reputation. On the back of its online poker, casino and bingo products, Cryptologic is still one of the give biggest software providers in the game, alongside Microgaming, Playtech, Boss Media and Real Time Gaming. Cryptologic's original online casino, InterCasino, is still going strong 15 years after its establishment in the early days of the internet. It still licenses its games to other big names like 888, PartyGaming, Gala Coral and Betfair, which shows that brands don't just disappear overnight, and it surely is only a matter of time until it returns to its award-winning days.

Doing Away with Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker lost its operating license due mainly to licensing fees they owed Alderney. The dispute followed the US crackdown on online poker sites, also known as Black Friday. But at its core, the suspension evolved around a business dispute; FTP owed a reported $400,000 to Alderney. The poker site has since regained a secondary license - a client provider authorization for a term of 2 years from Kahnawake. Settling licenses and owed license fees is welcome. It clearly helps the Full Tilt brand regain legitimacy, at least in the eyes of interested investors. But what about the players? Full Tilt's Customers Perhaps regaining its license and selling to new investors could lead to a settlement and players may see their money again. But what guarantee do we have for that ever happening? What has Alderney done for us lately? It seems that the owners of Full Tilt Poker want first to be bought out, before they pay back their customers. As the APCW's J Todd pointedly said, players seem to be everybody's "very last priority." Poker Alternatives Meanwhile poker fans are flocking to other poker sites (below list). This possibly lowers the value of the Full Tilt brand. Surely their ongoing disregard of its customers does not help their cause. Consider these poker sites for a reliable alternative, responsible and friendly: The UK's most popular poker site - licensed by the Gibraltar Licensing Authority and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner - bet365 Poker Arguably the most reputable betting brand of the 20th century - and an online gambling powerhouse - William Hill Poker (also Gibraltar licensed) Ladbrokes Online Poker has Texas Holdem cash games, single-table tournaments, multi-table tournaments, 5 Card Draw, 5 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud and Razz 7 Card Stud. It's also licensed and regulated in Gibraltar.
