Netherlands Parliament: Remote Gambling Licenses Possible

Reports suggesting abundant interest among online gamblers in remote gambling licenses in the Netherlands have spurred renewed Parliamentary debate. 200 Online Dutch Operators The increased interest was suggested in the annual report of the Dutch Games of Chance Authority (“KSA”) in early April, which reported that over 200 new operators would be interested in application for licensing from KSA once Dutch regulation was implemented. Interest in application both in the report and in general expression has suggested that there would be an immediate high supply in services and availability of online gaming products and games in the Netherlands once the Dutch Remote Gambling Act is passed. This implies a potentially huge upswell in tax revenues, which is at the heart of the new Parliamentary debates. Online Gambling Tax Revenues Specific issues in light of this development include whether the State Secretary can provide a realistic estimation of the expected market size of online gambling in the Netherlands; or whether a realistic calculation assessing gaming tax revenues in case of a uniform tax rate for both online and land based gambling is possible; as well as a realistic assessment of the degree of channeling to inform this new market size estimation in the case of said uniform tax rate. Current government figures have attached a 20% tax rate to online gambling, which is lower than the current tax rate applicable to land-based operators (29%), with equalizing the rates being put forth as a suggestion for avoiding improper competition. Related channeling estimates are confused by the amount of players who might seek unregulated operators which tend to pay out higher percentage because of lower operating expenses, with two of those key expenses being the licensing fee and taxes that otherwise would be paid to local government by licensed operators. Dutch Licensing Whatever is decided, it is safe to assume a decision will come quick as the eagerness of operators to obtain Dutch licenses represents tax benefits that have yet to be harnessed by the Dutch government.

NHL Betting: Will the Blackhawks Sweep the Wild?

The Chicago Blackhawks could clinch a spot in the Conference Finals tonight if they are able to beat the Minnesota Wild, as Game 4 of the best-of-7 series continues tonight at Xcel Energy Center. Chicago won Game 3, 1-0 in a hard fought battle and have the chance to ruin the Wild’s post season hopes for a third straight year. The Hawks have made the Western Conference Playoffs each of those three years and their past closing record looks like they will most likely do it again. Coach Joel Quenneville is 13-4 in clinching important games and he is confident but understands that the Wild will not go down lightly. "You're always playing that next game like it's a game you have to win. That's your focus," Quenneville said. "You don't think of the three games after. Right off the bat, we want to make sure we're playing the right way and not waiting for them to come at us." For the Wild, tonight needs to be the best game they will have played all season long. They need to get their first win in this series and worry about what comes later afterwards. The home ice advantage that they have tonight will definitely make things easier than playing in Chicago but still they have a mountain to climb and it starts with three winning periods tonight. NHL Online Gambling The NHL playoffs are one of the most highly bet sporting events of any other. Online sportsbooks like bet365 Sports continue to offer multiple online gambling options and tonight’s game features 17 props for punters to choose from. Outright, the Blackhawks are the favorites at 1.32 by the famed UK Sportsbook and the Wild need to make up for their 3.50 listing. There are also Puck Line props, Player props, Score props and much more to choose from.

Anti-Gambling Proponent Huckabee Announces 2016 GOP Candidacy

Mike Huckabee has made it clear that he is against online gambling, and now, he is throwing his hat into the ring for the GOP candidate in the 2016 elections. In November 2014, Huckabee was quoted as saying, "Online gambling websites are preying on every kid with a smartphone or a tablet. This is frankly one of the most important topics that I don't hear anybody talking about." Huckabee Made His Stance Clear Huckabee made the above comments on his television program, Huckabee, on November 22, 2014. In that episode, Huckabee hosted former Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-Arkansas) to talk about the issue. Lincoln is a member of Sheldon Adelson’s Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling (CSIG), so there was no surprise what her stance was. Both Lincoln and Huckabee came out in full support of the Restoration of American’s Wire Act (RAWA), which would impose a federal ban on online gambling, even on the three states that have already legalized it. Huckabee went so far as to say, “Frankly, this is one of those few things that I think, anyone who doesn’t support this in the Congress, they should be thrown out.” Huckabee hosted his television show on Fox News from 2008 until January 2015, when he announced that he was stopping to consider his candidacy for the 2016 elections. Huckabee’s Candidacy Huckabee previously ran for the GOP spot in 2008, but John McCain won the coveted nomination. Huckabee did, however, win eight primaries and caucuses, showing that he was not at all without support. In 2016, Huckabee will face other GOP hopefuls Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida), Dr. Ben Carson and businesswoman Carly Fiorina. Not to tmention those who have not yet announced their candidacies but are expected to: Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and former Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Amaya Slot Feature: Wonder Woman Jackpots

Marvel has dominated DC Comics over the past few years. Since the successful release of the first Iron Movie, Marvel has developed further movies based on comics such as Thor, Captain America, and the Avengers. Playtech then capitalised on the popularity by securing the rights to develop Marvel slots. Comparatively, the demand was much less for creating DC slots. Although a talented developer, Amaya cannot compete with the resources of Playtech. Therefore, it made sense that Amaya acquired the igaming rights for the less popular DC Comics. Of course, all of that appears set to change with the 2016 release of DC’s Batman v Superman movie. An upsurge in popularity would ignite popularity for Amaya’s Wonder Woman slot, which is well worth your time. Playing for Jackpots Wonder Woman Jackpots is the official name for the slot, which boasts five reels and nine paylines. Players have complete control over the paylines, allowing for them to wager only what they can afford. At the bottom end of the scale, the lowest possible line bet can be $/€/£0.05. Moving on to the artwork, Amaya has maintained a similar style to its other DC slots. The city background is roughly sketched with imperfect lines, while the colours hark back to the vintage comic book days of the past. Inclusion of the official Wonder Woman logo adds a vital layer of authenticity. Wonderful Bonus Features Wonder Woman herself appears as the wild symbol, acting as a substitute for all symbols except for the scatter. Five Wonder Woman symbols on the same payline will trigger a 4,000x multiplier. Amaya has made the Wonder Woman logo the scatter symbol. Try to land three or more scatter symbols to activate 10 free spins alongside a rewarding 3x multiplier. Free spins can be retriggered during play. The progressive jackpot has been designed in a similar fashion to the Marvel Multi-Level Mystery Progressive Jackpot, albeit with three levels instead of four. Wonder Woman will trigger its Hero Jackpot, Super Hero Jackpot, and Mega Hero Jackpot levels entirely at random. However, the slot does clearly state that larger stakes will result in a greater progressive jackpot payout. Where to Play Wonder Woman Slot Prepare for the impending rise of DC superheroes by playing Wonder Woman Jackpots at Amaya casinos such as bet365 Casino, Long Harbour Casino, and William Hill Casino. You will also finds DC slots based on Batman, Superman, the Green Lantern, and the Flash, with more to follow.

NBA Playoffs Betting: Bulls vs. Cavaliers Game 3

The exciting match-up in the NBA playoff conference semifinal between the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers continues this Friday night (00:00 GMT). Tied at 1-1 The series is now tied at 1-1 after LeBron James fulfilled his promise to be more on the aggressive side in Wednesday night's game 2 which ended 106-91 in favor of the Cavs. James scored 33 points with 13-of-29 shooting as he went back to wear the traditional headband since the regular season ended. To The Windy City Tonight, the game shifts over to the Windy City and the Bulls have the homely advantage at the United Center. The Bulls will have to step up their offensive game tonight as it didn't seem to be full force in game 2. Derrick Rose's performance didn't come close to his fantastic show in game 1; he scored 14 points with 10 assists and 7 rebounds. Bulls Adjustments Bulls will look up to Rose to up his game tonight but it's no one-man show. Coach Tom Thibodeau will have to employ the best of his tactician skills in order to find a way to prevent the Cavs from executing an onslaught as they've demonstrated in game 2 . Pau Gasol has been fantastic in the playoffs so far but the Cavs pick-and-roll made the physical game more difficult – his performance will be crucial for turning the tide in favor of the Bulls. Cavs Momentum With the impressive game 2 win, Cavs have the momentum as they arrive in the United Center tonight. The team improved its shooting game with many three-pointers and an aggressive approach that led to some impressive runs and big deficits; if Chicago doesn't straighten itself up, Cavs will win. Bet Live All NBA playoff matches including tonight's game are live at Winner Sports with pre-match markets and live betting to place bets as the hoops are live. Winner's market categories include outright bets, specific conference bets, series winner and series correct score. Head over to Winner and take part in this Friday night's NBA goodness!

Special: Future of Regulated US Online Sports Betting

The regulation of online sports betting in the US is an always-relevant issue. While the big four leagues attract millions of people from all over the world who place wagers at online sports betting sites, Americans cannot legally place bets on their favorite and national sports. One of the main culprits is the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) from 1992 which prohibited professional sports betting in the US. Winds of Change Winds of change have started blowing late last year when NBA Commissioner Adam Silver expressed his support for legalized sports betting in the US, with an emphasis on online sports betting. Silver understands the appeal of his league - the NBA playoffs taking place nowadays are one of the biggest online gambling events of the year on a global scale. Silver said that he believes legalized sports betting is inevitable and that Americans are already engaging with both local and offshore bookies despite the prohibition; the US treasury is missing on millions in revenues so long that the PASPA stands. Rumored NBA-Operators Deal Silver's words might have moved things at the top, as rumors of a potential deal between the NBA and online sports betting operators have started circling. While this doesn't mean Americans would be able to bet just yet, if true, such partnerships would be important for the future. Silver did not surprise the NBA top brass, as the league's vice president and assistant general counsel Dan Spillane confirmed that it was doing a lot of homework on the subject before Silver went public with his opinion. Mobile on the Cross-hairs Mobile betting is one of the strongest trends in the world of online gambling in the last few years, something that has not evaded the eyes of the NBA. In-play bets that change gradually as the game progresses have become an integral part of the online sports betting experience, allowing fans to bet from everywhere with live streams – or even at the arena itself while watching the game. Loyalty program tests which have begun with fans of teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings and Brooklyn Nets can give a glimpse of possible future betting models in the US. These include point systems and rewards that work similarly to loyalty schemes at online casinos and sports betting sites; the Kings app includes fantasy games and game predictions. A Matter of Time Online gambling in the US has made a major stride with the November 2013 regulation in New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada. With many other states on the fence and despite the opposition of wealthy land-based gambling moguls and other forces, online gambling and specifically sports betting regulation in the US seems like just a matter of time. However, with the US gearing up for the 2016 presidential elections it's unlikely that we will see major landmarks during the remainder of the Obama administration, but progress can be made regardless. It will also be interesting what role online gambling and sports betting regulation will play in the campaigns leading to the elections, as the questions reflect wider issues having to do with the rights of individual states.

La Liga Betting: Decisive Games for Barcelona and Real Madrid

The tight race for this season's Spanish La Liga title is nearing the finishing line and nothing is signed and stamped yet with two more gameweeks to go and two super teams vying for the championship. This Saturday presents punters with two super interesting matches featuring the table leaders: Barcelona and Real Madrid. Barcelona vs. Real Sociedad (17:00 UK time) Following Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League semis, Barcelona will have lots of motivation to beat Real Sociedad at Camp Nou. Barca is currently positioned first in the table with 87 points composed of 28 wins, 3 draws, 4 losses and a GD of 86. Real Sociedad is positioned 11th in the table with 43 points (10w, 13d, 12l). It's hard to see Real Sociedad managing to go out with a giantkilling today, especially in light of Barcelona's title race and the fantastic condition of Lionel Messi with his two spectacular goals against Munich. Not surprisingly, online bookie bet365 Sports had Barcelona at favorite full time result odds with 1/20 to win against Real Sociedad's 33/1. Real Madrid vs. Valencia (19:00) Around the time Barcelona will wrap up their game with Real Sociedad, Los Blancos will begin playing Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid is only two points away from Barcelona, they won 28 games, lost 6 and drawn 1. Real has a GD of 73, with 105 goals which is the exact number of goals Barca has, but 32 goals conceded – different from Barca's 19. Real is the clear favorite in this game with 2/5 odds to win against Valencia's 15/2 at bet365 Sports. Look for James Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo in goalscorer markets – Ronaldo scored a hat-trick against Sevilla last week. Live at bet365 Sports Both games will be live at bet365 Sports with a wide range of pre-match and in-game betting markets. Punters can take advantage of bet365's accumulators and the Bore Draw Money Back offer although it's hard to see no goals being scored in these two matches. Don't miss out on this Spanish thriller!
