Early Predictions for the Fall Classic
Astros - When you think of the Houston Astros this season, you might as well look at a Minor League Team trying to make it in the majors because that's exactly how they look. William Hill Sportsbook has them at 500/1 odds to win the Series but better off saving your money
Marlins - The 25 man roster in Miami took a major hit over the off season and has left the team with not very many chances of making the playoffs let alone taking the title. Bet365 Sportsbook has them at 200/1 odds.
Twins - Denard Span and Ben Revere are gone and have left behind a Minnesota team that will need to build before they can be taken seriously. The AL Central is a hard division as it is and with the only players being Mauer and Morneau, Ladbrokes Sportsbook has the Twins at 150/1.
Rockies - The Rockies are looking Rocky as the season starts off. Don't expect too much for the Colorado team with Bet365 Sportsbook at 125/1.
Padres - The San Diego team sees more sunshine than any other in the league but this season the clouds are hanging over this team. William Hill has them at 100/1 but they could be worth a few $$$.
Cubs - Chicago is one of the biggest Baseball cities in the World and for good reason, they have a rich history in the game and two of the most watched teams in the game. Unfortunalety this team doesn't have very high hopes and neither does Ladbrokes - 100/1.
Mets - Like or dislike, the Mets are an institution. Although they may win more games than originally expected, Bet365 Sports has them at 80/1.
Mariners - With one of the best hurlers in the game, no one knows just how many wins they will have at the end of the year. William Hill - 100/1 but Ladbrokes has them at 80/1, it could be interesting.
Pirates - The yellow and black attack could surprise a lot of people this year. Watch out for a newly rejuvenated team and a possible MVP performance from Andrew McCutchen. William Hill - 80/1.
Royals - Kansas City is famous for BBQ and Baseball. The Royals this season could surprise a lot of people, Ladbrokes has them at 66/1.
White Sox - Chicago's other team has one of the best pitching staff's in the league but they need more players with heavy bats. Bet365 - 50/1.
Indians - Cleveland has a great all around line up this season with names like Swisher, Bourn, Cabrera and Kipnis leading the list. Don't count them out just yet. William Hill is at 100/1 and Bet365 have them at 70/1 and Ladbrokes is currently at 66/1.
Yankees - They always have a chance so you never count them out. Currently they are listed at 18/1 at numerous online sportsbooks.
That was half the league and for the rest of the odds on who will take the title, check out OCR's online sportsbooks page to find all the lines.
A word to the wise would be to look to Washington and the Nationals who are at 8/1 at Will Hill, 6/1 at Bet365 and a great time to put money on them is now at Ladbrokes because they have them at 15/2.
