600 New Staff for Playtech Global Staff

Online games developer Playtech has recruited 600 extra staff since the beginning of 2014, and a further 300 new positions have now been announced. This represents a big increase on their current 4,000 worldwide staff, with the majority of the new posts in IT, customer support, operational and product development.

New Developments For Playtech

A number of high profile, multi-channel developments are underway in the UK and abroad from Playtech. Some of these have yet to be revealed, but are understood to include government and non-government contracts. The Playtech ONE programme has seen big investments in the sports betting market and ahead of the new deals, the various sports channels and technology have been merged into a single division. This will give users a single system across PC and mobile devices, which is an industry first and is being heralded as a major development for the company.

Several new acquisitions will be added to Playtech Sports, both online and in the high street bookmakers chains that use their systems. Coral Connect is one of the biggest successes and is used in 1,800 shops nationwide, as well as through their online and mobile platforms. Some 200,000 customers have signed up to the Connect channel in the last year.

The Connect developments are seen as a major game-changer for Playtech, who have brought out the system before their main rivals, and is regarded by some as the future of sports betting.

Commenting on the new technology, the CEO of Playtech, Mor Weiser has said ''Playtech's revolutionary technology enables a seamless one-wallet and one account experience with content available across all channels, online and mobile, and across all devices.''

He added that ''Playtech is the only global gaming company with the ability to successfully deliver large-scale regulated government and non-government projects in tandem with large-scale technology deployments.''
