888 Sees Online Gambling Revenues Grow 13%

Online gaming giant 888 Holdings is the latest industry leader to record strong 2012 financial results, announcing this week that its annual revenues rose 13 percent to a whopping $376 million.

888's expansion in the newly regulated Spanish and Italian gaming markets aided its growth, as did the increased popularity of its platforms for mobile devices, CEO Brian Mattingley said. He added that the company has started the new year strongly and remains confident of future growth.

Revenue in the final quarter of 2012 gained 7% percent on the corresponding period the previous year. By year's end, 888 boasted 520,000 active casino and poker customers, an impressive climb from the 478,000 active players it supported in the final quarter of 2011.
