Greater Europe is now set to receive a whole new swath of innovative slot games after Blueprint's Livewire acquisition.
A key acquisition took place this week when Blueprint Gaming's Gauselmann Group acquired specialist UK games developer Livewire Gaming.
The Move's Impact
The move strengthens Blueprint's position as a leading supplier of slots across all gaming industry sectors.
Setting the Table
After Doncaster-based Livewire Gaming built a reputation for creating quality Category C, B3, D and B4 Games for the UK Market, Blueprint Gaming decided to take the collaborator relationship to the next level.
Impact
The new agreement acquisition maintains Livewire's independent studio focus on the development of land-based games under the leadership of existing director Alan Claypole, while boosting Blueprint’s land-based development capabilities, particularly for the Cat C market.
Gauselman Leader Speaks
Of the deal, Gauselmann Group's UK General Manager Sascha Blodau welcomes Livewire and Claypole specifically, by saying:
“Livewire and Blueprint have had a close relationship for many years, so this merger makes perfect sense for both parties. We look forward to working with Livewire and building on our already successful partnership.”
Blueprint's Expansion
The Livewire Gaming acquisition is part of a series of recent additions, with the Blueprint family recently adding Project Coin and Games Warehouse as Blueprint expands its game design resources.
Expanding Slots Innovation
This is a significant addition for leading UK based game studio Blueprint, with the deal creating a vital additional repertoire to its array of engaging slot games for the global online and mobile markets, with the new games set to be added seamlessly on a fairly wide scale, to over 100,000 land-based gaming terminals across the UK, Germany and Italy.
Outlook
The deal should effectively continue Blueprint's commitment towards pushing creative boundaries, while exposing their ambition and innovation to a wider range of slot players and global gamers across greater Europe. This could set the table for subsequent Blueprint strategic acquisitions to expand out of Europe in the near future as well.
