Andy Murray vs Kei Nishikori: Barclays World Tour FinalsPublished November 16, 2016 by Sol FH
Djokovic qualifies for Semi-Finals and Murray with chance to do the same today at 14:00 GMT.
The Barclays World Tour Finals is the final tournament of the professional tennis season and it has been very exciting up until now. Andy Murray, the UK's first ever World Number 1 ranking beat Marin Cilic in the opening match and now faces Kei Nishikori for a chance to make the Semi-Finals. Murray was relentless in the opener beating Cilic 6-3 6-2, but Nishikori also went through the first match in similar fashion. The Japanese star beat Stan Wawrinka 6-2 6-3 and looks to be in excellent form ahead of the today's match.
The stage is set for another wild end to the professional tennis season. Novak Djokovic was taken to the limit in every game, but managed to beat Canadian Milos Raonic 7-6 7-6 on tie break both sets. Djokovic has not been his regular match controlling self lately needing 3 sets to defeat Dominic Thiem in the opening match. Now that the possibility for a Murray v Djokovic Final is on the table, rest-assured that both players will be playing to make this happen.
Murray is 7-2 against Nishikori, and he has a 22-match win streak. Nishikori was the last person to beat Murray, which came at the US Open earlier this year. The surface at the O2 favors Nishikori's game and Murray may have some added pressure playing just 20 minutes from his home in front of his true fans, but he is favored to win and should do it in straight sets.
