Another US Poker Site Shuts Operations

In a surprising twist-of-fate, Victory Poker has been effectively hamstrung by the after-effects of Black Friday. This once popular online poker room recently posted an announcement on its landing page to the effect that,

"Victory Poker has moved its international player database over to Cake Poker... Victory Poker will continue forward as an affiliate site providing news, strategy, videos, and reviews."

Black Friday - the day the online poker world in the US stood still, has resulted in massive fallout for poker players and online sites. The joint FBI, US DoJ seizure and shutdown of immensely popular online poker sites has sent shockwaves through a poker-crazed nation. The big three were humbled - Poker Stars, FullTilt and Absolute Poker. As was UltimateBet and others. The indictments 'cease, desist and shutdown' orders against these poker sites and casinos virtually ensured that more indictments would follow. And now news has broken that 10 additional online gaming sites have been seized and shut down.

In the wake of the crushing indictments of Black Friday (April 1515) across the US, Victory Poker - a relative greenhorn in the poker realm - has opted to call it a day. The shock announcement has left scores of players scratching their heads. With the severity of Black Friday marring the future prospects of online poker in the US, Victory Poker's CEO Dan Fleyshman has called it quits.
