Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) opened on June 10th, introducing the new operating system, iOS 7.
It's no secret that Apple has lost some ground to the huge number of Android devices that have flooded the market. Since the passing of Apple's founding father and world revolutionary Steve Jobs, many people thought it was the beginning of the end for the company that changed the way we look at mobile devices.
Things to Look Forward to
By far the biggest news unveiled at the WWDC in San Francisco has to be the new iOS 7 featuring a much sleeker and sexier design that Jony Ive, the famed designer of the iPhone, iPad and other iDevices, has been working on for the past few years.
We also received rave reviews of the new Mac software which look exceptionally good and will now be named after locations in California beginning with legendary surf spot Mavericks.
Mobile Casinos Ready for Improvements
The news is particularly good for mobile casino software developers like Playtech and Microgaming whose graphics are already cutting edge and incredibly well designed. The new iOS changes have been described as eye-popping effects that make background images seemingly rest behind other app icons, so when your phone is tipped, the two move separately. Mobile Gambling is already the wave of the future and with more and more of the top brands in the world offering mobile versions of their online casinos, the sky is the limit.
Just imagine the graphics of Thunderstruck 2 on an even better iPhone platform, it's ridiculous. With Apple on center stage in San Francisco you may see a huge shift in the domination of the mobile and tablet markets in the very near future.
