Arsenal expands its reach in China by teaming up with DJI Holdings
Arsenal is playing in one of the most competitive European championships and they are hard pressed to win a trophy after a lengthy drought. While much of their attention and resources are channeled towards winning games, they are equally interested in signing mutually beneficial partnerships. DJI Holdings is a lottery operator that pays a lot of attention to the Chinese market and recently became the official lottery partner of the English football club.
A Springboard to Asian Markets
It comes as no surprise that many of those who enjoy football are also big fans of gambling in general and mobile gambling in particular. DJI Holdings is well versed in the art of promoting sports beyond borders and they also run a very successful lottery in China. By signing this agreement, Arsenal will have better access to millions of potential fans and DJI will be the one distributing club related content.
Over the course of three seasons, they will be providing their customers with generous prizes, all revolving around the club brand and logo. Selling online lottery tickets is just one of things they are good at and they already have an impressive customer base. Their clients will benefit from tickets to Arsenal games, as well as a broad selection of team merchandise.
A Fast Growing Market
Many of those who wager on sports use mobile devices for this purpose, with smartphones and tablets being now suitable for gambling. DJI Holdings delivers much of its products in this manner and it has both the resources and the knowhow to connect Arsenal with its big fan following in China.
The importance of this agreement that will only conclude in 2018 was acknowledged by the club’s chief operating officer, Vinai Venkatesham. Most of Arsenal’s fans from China are following the latest news about the clubs online, so the partnership with DJI comes naturally.
