Australian Open Quarter Finals: Federer vs. Berdych

Roger Federer vs Tomas Berdych live at Rod Laver Arena late night at 3:30 GMT.

The Australian Open has been the action packed Grand Slam event that tennis fans all over the world have hoped for. For the last nine days, the top names on the ATP have been playing the pros of the future, and aside from a first round major upset, which saw Nadal be ousted, the seeded players have not disappointed. Tonight's late night Quarter Final matchup between the four-time Aussie Open champion, Roger Federer against number six ranked player and two-time Australian Open semifinalist Tomas Berdych.

Both players have been looking excellent under the hot sun in Melbourne, Federer beating David Goffin in straight sets in the last round, while Berdych downed Roberto Bautista Agut in a marathon match to make the Quarter Finals. Federer looks as if he could easily challenge for yet another final appearance and if Berdych can't stop the Swiss star, the Czech will be knocked out of the tournament.

They have faced each 21 times in major competitions and Federer has won 15 matches including twice at the Australian Open, in which Federer beat Berdych both times. We may see a more energized Berdych as he heads into the Quarter Finals, after he has been able to rest an entire day longer than Federer. He will need all of the help he can get, as Federer is the outright favorite to win tonight and move on to yet another Australian Open Semi Final.
