BAC 2012 Verdict: A Resounding Success!

The Barcelona Affiliate Conference held October 11-14, 2012, and organized by iGaming Business, is all wrapped up. Now that the delegates (from 65 countries in total) have recovered from a hectic but fun weekend of networking, contract-clinching and socializing, the verdict on the conference is in: the event was a great success.

Ample Networking Opportunities

Delegates appreciated the opportunities presented by the parallel hosting of the BAC and iGB Espana events on the same floor. This meant attendees could forge contacts with colleagues from the Spanish-speaking market and mingle with industry associates from around the world at the same time (until this year, these events have been held separately). Excitement was particularly high regarding the recent opening of the Spanish online gambling market.

A Record Number of Registrations

iGB were pleased to announce that more delegates registered for the Barcelona event than ever before. Of course, only affiliates got in for free, but the conference was well attended by industry-leading affiliate programs, software providers, payment system reps, marketers, publishers, SEO specialists, and webmasters too. Delegates clearly enjoyed the social side of the conference as well (particularly the free bar after 3pm each afternoon, sponsored by Ace Revenue). One attendee commented on BAC on the forums of the Gambling Portal Webmasters Association:
