Las Vegas casino equipment casino company Bally branches out into new fields of mobile gaming with its acquisition of privately owned San Francisco firm MacroView.
Las Vegas casino equipment company Bally Technologies has announced the acquisition of MacroView Labs, a rising developer of mobile gambling application and platforms.
Bally delves into mobileBally said the purchase of the privately owned MacroView will help strengthen its own position in the casino industry as it looks to expand the mobile applications side of its business. It did not disclose the terms of the deal.
This acquisition came last week, just a couple of days before Bally also announced another big deal - a contract with Caesars Entertainment, the world's largest casino operator, of which terms were also not disclosed to the public.
What is MacroView?Based in San Francisco, MacroView is a small privately held company that develops smartphone and web-based mobile applications for the hospitality, retail and casino sectors.
This is not the first time the company will get involved in gambling. It has also worked in the past with casinos to help manage their mobile content, launch mobile campaigns and interpret user data.
